Why don't the Holy Bible mentions the other planets in the Universe?

Why doesn't it mention atoms? Or disease, or gases like oxygen? Because of the times. What has to be remembered is the times that they were living in and the context in which the scriptures were written. These things weren't necessary to be mentioned to get the point across. Everything needed to know of God is in there.
