Narnia: The lion the witch and the wardrobe question?

I havent seen the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe since it came out in 2005. So you can imagine i dont really remember anything. I remember only this: There was a big fight scene at the end and Edmund(I think) almost dies and Peter(I think) hugs him. Is this true?What happened? Lots of detail please.
