Reasons to be proud to be British?

Being part of a group of Nations whose, generally honourable, history goes back well over a thousand years. It gives the British a sense of quiet confidence which means we don't have to have flags everywhere, put the country's name on postage stamps, or constantly blame other countries for our own shortcomings. I can't imagine why a country would be proud of its weather.
