Should I move to my own computer? I currently use my moms laptop.?

The computer I can use is a intel p4 2.4 ghz 533mhz FSB w/ 1.5gb of ram, and an nvidia mx 420 64mb video card. Oh and a 160gb harddrive. My moms laptop the one I am using right now has a 120gb hdd, geforce 7000m chip set w/ 128mb dedicated, AMD Athlon 1.9ghz X2 and 1gb of ram. My usual uses are web design, java/c/c++/.NET and some other languages. I don't play very much games except counter strike every now and then. I use quite a bit of space, on the laptop I have a 20gb backup partition and on the main drive there's on;y like 12gb free space. Every now and them my mom complains about me using it so much. Any Suggestions if I should switch?
